Packing Advice For A Variety Of Trips

Posted on January 1, 2012

Going on luxury holidays as an option when going on a trip abroad presents you with many opportunities on which destination to go to, what to see when youre there and what activities to take part in, from a jungle trek through the Amazon too two weeks in the Pyrenees hiking and climbing in the mountain sun. If you are looking in to combining several experiences in to one in a tailor-made holiday you could find your self struggling to pack the right mix of clothing and meeting the confines of a limited baggage allowance, particularly if you are visiting destinations with widely different weather circumstances.

Opting for luxury cruises these day could mean anything from a few weeks sailing around the Caribbean to a trip up the cost of Norway to see the northern lights. Depending on where you are heading you will need to pack for the expected weather conditions but there are still a number of essentials that you should take on every cruise. Before you even pack you should check the dress-code for the cruise line, as a general rule leave the jeans at home and avoid anything loud and garish. The vast majority of cruise ships have a laundry on board as well as dry cleaning and maybe even tailoring services meaning that you wont need to pack anywhere near as much as you think you will need, larger cruise liners even have cloths shops on board.

The four months after Christmas are the peak of the ski season and with many people jetting off to the mountains for a week or two, whether it is the French Alps, the Rocky Mountains or somewhere else, the opportunity to ski has never been more readily available. When it comes to ski fashions there have been many disasters over the years with many occurring in the 80s, however the slopes are much more refined these days with technical and breathable clothes being worn in understated style. Helmets are becoming even more common on the slopes these days then ever before, and there are a variety of styles and accessories available for just about every outfit.
